The Apple Watch Series 6 looks very similar to its predecessors, the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5. However, the company does claim there to be hardware differences which will set the latest watch apart from the other models. The Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a better processor that reportedly delivers two times faster performance. Furthermore, the company states that we will also see better water resistance ratings along with an improved wireless connectivity.

Another interesting addition in the list of specifications is the blood oxygen level sensor. This will be the first watch that will allow users to measure the oxygen levels in their blood. Also, the watch comes in new color options which will appeal to a variety of different audiences.
The ‘Time Flies’ launch event also introduced the Apple Fitness+ fitness service. This feature syncs with the Apple Watch Series to show the watch metrics. Additionally, a good library of music-based workout videos can also be seen because of this service. However, we might not see AC adapters in the box because of the company’s 2030 environment pledge.

Apple Watch Series 6 Specifications
The Apple Watch Series 6 comes with an always-on Retina display. Additionally, the display has a 60Hz refresh rate along with 1000 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, the company claims the Retina display to be 2.5 times brighter outdoors than the previous model. Also, the watch has an always-on altimeter.
When it comes to the design, the Apple Watch Series 6 comes in two case options as well. Both the 40mm and 44mm case options come with ceramic and sapphire crystal back finish. Furthermore, the cases come in aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and ceramic materials. Also, the 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 variant comes with a resolution of 324 x 394 pixels. Whereas, the 44mm variant comes with a resolution of 368 x 448 pixels.

On the processor front, the smartwatch is powered by a new Apple S6 SiP. This processor is said to deliver performance which is two times faster than the S5 chipset on Apple Watch Series 5. Additionally, the device also has a W3 wireless chip for enhanced connectivity with other Apple devices. Furthermore, the Series 6 is the first smartwatch to comes with the ultra-wideband (UWB) technology.

The Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a variety of different features when it comes to health and wellness tracking. The watch comes with a blood oxygen level sensor which helps users in measuring the oxygen level in their blood. This is possible via a new health sensor which uses infrared light and photodiodes to calculat this.
Furthermore, users will receive a notification if their blood oxygen levels drop at alarming levels. The electrical heart sensor in the device records heartbeat and rhythm. The sensor can also detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and can provide an electrocardiogram (ECG) report.

The Apple Watch Series 6 also comes with mental health tracking features. These features allow users to detect panic attacks along with high levels of stress. Additionally, the device also provides users with breathing exercises to keep those stress levels in check. Furthermore, the watchOS7 in the Watch Series 6 brings sleep tracking to the table. Also, the company claims the watch to deliver up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The Apple Watch Series 6 also comes with a new Blue color case. This color option sits along with the Gold, Silver, Space Grey, a new Graphite model as well as a Red model with matching bands. The Titanium finish will come in Natural Titanium and Space Black color options, the launch revealed. Additionally, the company also revealed new solo Loop and Leather Link bands for the Watch Series devices.
Price And Availability
The Apple Watch Series 6 price in India is set at Rs 40,900. This is the price for the GPS variant while the one with both GPS and Cellular network starts from Rs 49,900. Both these variants will be available for purchase in 40mm and 44mm sizes in India.
However, the availability details of the watch has not been revealed yet. Just a teasing “Coming Soon” is what we get for now in terms of availability.
