WhatsApp is rolling out new updates almost every other day now. However, it has rolled out a new update for its beta app on Android. This new update brings bug fixes and shows a glimpse of a new wallpaper feature.

Moreover, this new update includes the option to tweak the chat wallpaper opacity. It also adds or removes WhatsApp’s signature chat wallpaper doodles on the background.
On the other hand, WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo brought attention to these features. Moreover, he also states that they are still under beta testing and can be available for WhatsApp users in the future.

Let us talk about these two features in some detail.
Wallpaper Dimming
This new feature allows users to dim the opacity of the background.
They will have a new variety of wallpapers/chat backgrounds to choose from and they will be able to select different ones for different chats. The feature is currently in development for both Android and iOS versions of the platform.

Bug Fixes
In the latest update, WhatsApp has fixed the storage usage section. As noted by WABetaInfo, the storage usage section would crash when users tried to open it. There’s another bug on WhatsApp that resets the recently used emojis. However, it is not fixed in this update.
However, it is giving users the ability to add or remove its signature doodles from a solid color background.

On the other hand, WhatsApp’s doodle wallpaper is only available in a single shade, for both the light and dark modes.
Accordingly, there is no confirmation on when these updates will come in the platform for use.
