What is Digital Health ID? How to Apply Online it?

If a person wishes to be a user of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), they must first create a health ID, which is a 14-digit number that is given at random. The ID will be used for three purposes: unique identity, authentication, and threading of the beneficiary’s health records across numerous systems and stakeholders, but only with their full consent.

There are two options to get a Health ID; Self-registration through the portal or installing the ABMD Health Records app on a mobile device. A health ID can also be requested at a participating health facility. This may include government or private hospitals, community health centres, and government wellness centres all over India.

In order to give consent and share health records in the future; the recipient will need to create a Personal Health Records (PHR) address. PHR is a basic self-declared username. A user needs this to sign into a Health Information Exchange and Consent Manager by the beneficiary (HIE-CM). To facilitate the sharing of health records data, users need to link each health ID to a consent manager.

Dr Haryax Pathak also tweeted regarding this.
