Vodafone Idea has started offering 2GB daily high-speed data and unlimited voice calls to selected users at no added cost, this new offer comes with a validity of seven days and is available in a few circles such as Chennai, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Kolkata. While the above details are clear, the eligibility criteria for the benefits are unclear. The Vodafone Idea Free Data Offers come as a massive bonus to several users who have not been able to successfully recharge their data plans due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The new Vodafone Offers haven’t been announced officially and there is a lot of ambiguity with respect to it, however, the brand has introduced new offers just a few after bringing a double data offer to the Rs 299, Rs 449, and the Rs 699 prepaid recharge plans. It is also one of the few operators that have extended the incoming call benefits of its users until May 3rd for its users during the coronavirus lockdown. These new Vodafone Idea Offers come in a time when people are being restricted to go out of their houses as much as possible and maintain social distancing.
Users on Twitter have reported about the arrival of the additional 2GB per day high-speed additional data and unlimited calling benefits, there are available for a period of 7 days to the users. Vodafone Idea is not charging the customers for this new data allocation and for the voice calling benefits, the bundled data allocation is over and above the existing data quota of the users. The additional high-speed data and voice calling benefits are not provided to all the Vodafone Idea users, however, it does seem that the offer is arriving to select users gradually.

You can check the eligibility for these additional Vodafone Idea Data Offers and Voice calling benefits on your Vodafone or Idea connection by dialling 121363 on your phone, if you are eligible then you will get an SMS message confirming the update, else you will hear a voice message saying that you aren’t eligible for the offer. The SMS message confirming the offer says that it is provided to users as a “special gift” to overcome the lockdown hurdles.
