Design and Build
Starting off with the design, I found the DIZO Watch to be looking good. There are numerous smartwatches available in the same price range that feature a similar design and looks. However, this watch appears to be of high quality.
At 38g, it’s light enough to wear all day, but it doesn’t have the durability of a metal watch because it’s made of plastic. The carbon Grey colour gives the DIZO Watch a clean, elegant look.
It comes with a skin-friendly 22mm swappable strap that is lightweight. You will see a single button on the right side of the watch that allows you to wake the watch and go back, but it does not activate any feature.

The thick bezels were one of the things I didn’t like about the watch. Because of this, the display appears to be quite small. This affected the overall design factor of the watch.
You can find the heart rate sensor and SpO2 sensor on the back. The smartwatch is water-resistant to IP68 standards, but not to 5ATM standards. A splash of water will not damage it but unfortunately, you can’t take it for a swim.
Battery and Charging
The DIZO Watch by Realme packs a 315mAh battery that gives a decent battery backup. The brand claims that it can deliver battery life for up to 12 days. There is some mismatch between the advertised battery life and the real-time battery life. When fully charged, the watch’s battery lasted for a full 10 days for me on average daily use.
Battery life may vary depending on how frequently the display is used with increased brightness, how often the heart rate monitor is used during workouts, and how many notifications are enabled.

Additionally, the magnetic charger that is included in the box works well. Simply lay it down and it will begin charging immediately. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the watch from 0 to 100 per cent.
Display
Dizo Watch has a 1.4-inch Touchscreen dial. The display has a resolution of 320 x 320 Pixels with a peak brightness of 600 nits. A 30 fps display refresh rate ensures a fluid user interface scrolling experience.
Outdoor visibility is great due to the high brightness. In addition, you get a 2.5D scratch-resistant glass to be placed on top of its screen, which protects the display from being scratched. However, the display’s overall appearance is hampered by the thick bezels that surround it.
You can manually set the brightness by going to the settings menu and choosing Adjust brightness. You can adjust it from 20 per cent to 100 per cent and increase the screen timeout to 15 seconds. There is no auto-brightness feature because there is no ambient light sensor.

The health measurements and notifications that appear on the screen are easy to see thanks to the bright display.
The display has a good response rate and appears to be promising for the price. However, due to the small display and thicker bezels, you may have trouble touching some elements on this watch.
Fitness and Health Features
DIZO Watch has a lot of features for such a low-cost wearable, delivering a fair amount of functionality. The watch is packed with 90 unique sports modes. It includes activities such as walking, running, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, hiking, basketball, spinning, yoga and many more.
Outdoor activities, such as running and cycling provide you with all the information you need to know about the distance travelled, calories burned, average speed, cadence, average heart rate, and duration. Because it lacks in-built GPS, it must rely on the phone’s GPS lock for outdoor activities like running or cycling.
Aside from all of this, the DIZO Watch also monitors your steps, sleep, and gives hydration and sedentary reminders. It is impressive to see all of these features at an affordable price point.

Sleep tracking shows the duration of light sleep, deep sleep, and awake time, but not REM sleep. Tracking, on the other hand, is just as precise as it is with the Mi Band 5.
Additionally, there is a SpO2 monitor and continuous heart rate monitoring that records your heart rate every 5 minutes. It has a handy feature that notifies you when your heart rate falls below or rises above a certain level.
The heart rate recordings, both at rest and during activity, and the SpO2 readings are close when compared to an oximeter. However, you cannot say that this is 100 per cent accurate.
Software and UI
The DIZO Watch is powered by its own custom OS. It can be paired with both Android and iOS devices. You would need to download the realme Link App on your smartphone in order to sync the watch with it.
After doing so, you can view all the fitness and health-related data on your smartphone. The watch interface was simple and pretty smooth.
When the watch is paired to the smartphone, you will also get music controls. You can play, pause, skip tracks, and change the volume when you play videos or music. Additionally, there is a camera control option; however, in order to use it, you will first need to enable it from within the app.

You can read all the notifications that you get on the phone but there is no option to reply to them. Similarly, you can just reject or mute incoming calls since there is no in-built speaker and mic.
The DIZO Watch also includes Live Watch Faces. Depending on the user’s preferences, this element can be customised to meet their taste. It lets you choose from more than 60 watch faces to match your style.
The DIZO Watch is an excellent option for those looking to take benefit of the current wearables trend without spending a lot. It has a large selection of watch faces, a bright touch screen, and the feature to measure both heart rate and SpO2.
One thing I didn’t like about this smartwatch was its thick bezels all around its display, which didn’t look good at all.
All in all, the DIZO Watch is a great option if you’re looking for a simple fitness tracker with good battery life.
