Vivo X90 Pro Design And Build
Vivo continues its legacy in the Vivo X90 Pro design; it has a design similar to that of the Vivo X100 Pro. Its back is made with vegan leather, which gives a premium look, and gives a perfect grip on your hand. Its top-quality vegan leather will not be easily damaged after long use. Moreover, its back will not take fingerprints, stains or any other smudges.
You will see a circular-shaped camera on the back, which bulges out on the flat surface. There is also a trial LED flash along with the text “ZEISS VARIO TESSAR 1.6-2.0/16-50 ASPH” along with the “ZEISS” logo in blue colour.
Just below the camera, it has a shiny chrome strip with the text of “Xtreme Imagination”. I think that strip shouldn’t have been there as it is taking away from the phone’s beauty a bit.
Vivo X90 Pro has a curved display design with dimensions of 164.1 x 74.5 x 9.3 mm, which is a little too large compared to other devices. But its frame is made of aluminium, so it feels sturdy and will not get damaged easily, even if it falls accidentally. This phone weighs 214 grams, which is not too much for premium phones.
The device’s top includes a microphone and IR blaster, along with the text “PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY.” The left side does not have a functional button, but the volume and power buttons are placed on the right side.
The device footer has a Type-C slot, SIM slot, speaker and microphone. Apart from all this, Vivo’s branding signature is on the back of this phone.

Vivo X90 Pro Camera
Vivo X90 Pro has 50.3 megapixels wide, 50 megapixels telephoto and 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera. There are several camera features like Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* lens coating, Pixel Shift, dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, panorama.
To check the quality of the camera, I took a few photos in different modes. The main camera footage is incredibly detailed, has a decent amount of clarity, and there is no noticeable noise or signs of noise reduction. The dynamic range is also commendable, although the removal of highlights and shadows can sometimes result in a slight reduction in contrast. In auto mode, colours can sometimes appear more saturated than they actually are. At the same time, shooting in Zeiss mode offers a natural palette.

The telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom is comparable to the main camera, with high resolution and detailed shots even at high zoom. The same camera is also used for portrait photography. There are several styles, including Zeiss Cine Flare, which adds a flare effect to photos like a large camera. You can also adjust the level of background blur to simulate different apertures.
The ultra-wide camera is significantly inferior to the other two. Overall, the quality is acceptable, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in dynamic range and detail, including a steep drop in sharpness away from the centre of the image. However, the camera is equipped with autofocus for macro photography.
In the night photography, there is not too much likely. I clicked several pictures, but the images had too many grains, and it added extra light to make the image clearer. It also has microlenses, but I also could not produce images as expected.
Let’s talk about the front camera. I clicked several selfies, and the overall result was quite good; the image output had no major flaws.
Vivo X90 Pro gives the best videography, and you can record 8K videos at 24fps and 4K at 30/60fps. So. overall Vivo X90 Pro camera long-term review is impressive.

Vivo X90 Pro Battery And Charging
Vivo X90 pro has a 4870mAh battery for long-lasting performance. I played games, scrolled Instagram reels and watched live Olympic matches. So, the battery performance depends on use. I get almost seven hours during gaming, and right there, I get nearly eight to nine hours during other activities like watching videos.
It also comes with 120W fast charger and supports 50W wireless charging. So, this phone supports ultra-fast charging. But, I used another company’s 60W charger, and the phone was charged within 45 minutes.

This phone also comes with reverse charging, which best features your earbuds and smartwatches. Vivo X90 Pro has a battery server mode; if you enable this, then the system will limit or turn off background activities, some visual effects and certain features to prevent battery consumption.
This phone has a fast charging mode. When you turn it on, the phone will charge quickly without any interruptions. But if you turn it off, the phone will adjust its charging to prevent overheating, which can happen during fast charging.
Vivo X90 Pro Display
Vivo X90 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which is quite a large screen, giving the best movie experience. This phone supports HDR+ content quality, so if you are a Netflix lover, it gives the best watching experience.
I played some HDR videos on YouTube to evaluate the performance, which was quite good without video glitches.
This phone’s refresh rate is 120Hz, but you can change it as you wish because you have three variable refresh rate options: 60Hz, 120Hz, and Smart Switch. Its curved display produces vibrant colours and premium viewing angles.
Vivo X90 Pro has a display resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and 453PPI density. Moreover, it has 1300 nits of peak brightness for maximum visibility in sunlight. I used this in harsh sunlight to see if the display was visible or not; I could not get any issues using it in sunlight.
Vivo X90 Pro features an in-display fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole design for the front camera, which offer face recognition for security. This phone has a single speaker strip in the phone’s footer, so there is no Dolby Atmos.

Vivo X90 Pro Performance
Vivo X90 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 (4 nm) chipset for fast processing. It has three variants: 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage, 12GB RAM. However, I have Vivo X90 Pro 256GB storage and 12GB RAM variants for review.
It has UFS 4.0 storage, offering the best performance and help in low battery consumption. But you can increase storage by inserting an SD card because it does not have an SD card slot. However, its 256 GB storage is enough for any users.
I played lots of games on Vivo X90 Pro, which has Mediatek Dimensity 9200 (4 nm), which offers the best gaming performance without heating problems. I played BGMI in the normal setting for around one hour, and I could not feel a little bit warm. When I played BGMI on the ultra HDR setting, the phone started to get warm after 15 minutes of playing.

To check their gaming ability, I also played Clash of Clans, Genshin Impact, GTA SA Definitive Edition, Hitman Blood Money Reprisal, Wreckfest and Diablo Immortal. Its gaming ability is quite good.
I tested Vivo X90’s performance in different apps; its CPU throttles to 71 per cent max performance. In the Geekbench. the phone has a single-core score of 1560 and a multi-core score of 4786.
The Vivo X90 Pro AnTuTu score is 1561276, including CPU 399388, GPU 565761, MEM (Micro Electro Mechanical) 294768, and UX 301359 score. Just a heads up, the phone got too warm during this test. Moreover, the phone has a stability score showing Maxed Out on the 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test.
In my Vivo X90 Pro long-term review, its performance is up to the mark. It’s a perfect package for gamers. Additionally, this phone will be a good choice for making videos and watching long-session movies.
Vivo X90 Pro Software And UI
Vivo X90 Pro has an Android 14 operating system based on Funtouch OS, but when you buy a new phone, it will have Android 13 OS. Moreover, Vivo promises a three-year OS update and a five-year security update with Vivo X90 Pro.
There are not too many unnecessary apps except Snapchat, Netflix, Spotify, etc. But you can uninstall them at your convenience.
Vivo X90 Pro come with several shortcuts and accessibility like the split screen to use two functions at the same time.
This phone also has a small window and a small sidebar option to access essential settings quickly. Like the iPhone’s virtual “Home Button”, it has an Easy Touch feature. If you like to use the phone in one hand, then you can enable the one-handed feature, which will minimise the phone UI (User Interface) to give accessibility for single-handed use.
In the Vivo X90 Pro, you will get several features to enhance your user experience like Talk Back, Select to Speak, Text to speech output, font and display size, Extra Dim for low brightness, audio adjustment, etc.
In my Vivo X90 Pro long-term review, I learned that this phone is still a good choice to buy after the Vivo X100 Pro has already launched and the Vivo X200 Pro will soon launch. The Vivo X90 Pro’s sturdy design and curved display give it a different feel when used. The vegan leather material might show fingerprints, but it’s simple to clean.
Vivo X90 Pro offers a top-quality camera with different capture modes. I tried different modes, and they performed well, but the Super micro mode did not perform as expected. Overall, the front camera also produces fantastic selfies. Battery performance is also long-lasting, and the battery has fast charging ability. Another thing I will add is that I played many games like BGMI and COC but could not feel a bit warm during gameplay.
Other phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Apple iPhone 14 Pro, and OPPO Find X6 Pro, are strong contenders to the Vivo X90 Pro in the flagship list. You can also consider the iQOO 11 Pro and OnePlus 11, which are slightly lower but have almost the same features.
