Xiaomi Redmi 12C has quietly made its way into the Indonesian market after its launch in China last December. The global variant of the smartphone had been making the rounds for a few weeks with various reports and leaks. Thus, we assume that it will launch in other markets soon.

Price And Availability
The base model of the Redmi 12C costs IDR 1,399,000 (roughly Rs. 7,500) in Indonesia, while the mid and high-end variants cost IDR 1,599,000 (roughly Rs. 8,500) and IDR 1,799,000 (roughly Rs. 9,500), respectively. The mid variant comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage whereas the high-end variant comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The smartphone is available in Indonesia in Graphite Grey and Ocean Blue colour options and is available for purchase in the country.

The handset boasts a 6.71-inch LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels. Moreover, the screen has a 20.6:9 aspect ratio, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a peak brightness level of 500 nits. The phone comes with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC along with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. It runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and comes with two years of Android updates and three years of security updates.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a secondary QVGA lens for depth information. It features a 5-megapixel selfie camera housed in a centrally aligned waterdrop notch at the top of the display. Moreover, the handset’s rear cameras can also record videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second (fps).
A 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support is included in the handset, along with a rear fingerprint scanner, AI Create unlock, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, FM Radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
