Both devices boast powerful specifications, including a 5,000mAh battery and MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. The processors are paired with up to 4GB of RAM and a maximum of 64GB of storage.

Pricing And Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi A2 is available in three variants: the base model with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage is available at Rs. 5,999. Whereas, the variant with 2GB RAM + 64GB storage is available at Rs. 6,499, and the higher-end model with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage at Rs. 7,499. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi A2+ costs Rs. 8,499 and comes with a sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. All models are available in Black, Light Green, and Light Blue colour options.

Starting from May 23 at 12pm IST, interested buyers can purchase these smartphones through various channels, including Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners. Additionally, customers who purchase the Redmi A2 series smartphones using ICICI Bank cards are eligible for Rs. 500 cashback offer. Furthermore, both devices come with a two-year warranty.
Xiaomi Redmi A2 And A2+: Specifications
Both handsets are dual SIM smartphones running on Android 13. They boast a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The waterdrop-style notch on the screen houses the selfie camera. Under the hood, both phones feature the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, with the option of up to 4GB of RAM. Thanks to virtual RAM functionality, users can expand the available memory up to 7GB.
In terms of photography, the Redmi A2 series is equipped with an AI-backed dual rear camera setup featuring an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a QVGA camera. For selfies and video chats, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Storage-wise, both models offer up to 64GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, the Xiaomi Redmi A2+ also includes a fingerprint scanner for convenient biometric authentication.

Xiaomi claims that the battery can provide up to 32 days of standby time and up to 150 hours of playtime on a single charge.
