  • Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, is set to launch globally this April, according to a tweet from Leica Camera. The upcoming device will feature the most exceptional Leica Summicron lens, as confirmed by Xiaomi’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, on Twitter.

    The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the latest smartphone co-engineered by Xiaomi and Leica. Following the successful launch of the 12S Ultra in July 2022. The partnership between the two companies was announced earlier this year. And means that all high-end Xiaomi devices will feature Leica-brand cameras.     Sources suggest that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will likely feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The handset will most likely come in variants of 12GB and 16GB of RAM with onboard storage of 256GB and 512 GB. It is also to feature a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120Hz as per the sources.

    Additionally, the phone’s quad rear camera setup is to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 50-megapixel telephoto sensors. Moreover, the front camera is likely to use a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video chats.
