Xiaomi has launched their Xiaomi 12 series in China finally. The brand new series consists of two models, the vanilla Xiaomi 12 and the Xiaomi 12 Pro. This was already known to us, courtesy of several leaks and reports. Both the flagship devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. In addition, they pack a similar 4,500mAh battery as well. However, there are certain differences in other components that set them apart. Without any further ado, here’s everything you need to know about Xiaomi’s latest series!

Xiaomi 12 Series Price and Availability
The vanilla model starts at CNY 3,699 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. This converts to roughly Rs. 43,700. Further, the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 3,999. Now, this converts to approximately Rs. 47,200 in the Indian currency. Last but not the least, the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 4,399, which is around Rs. 52,000.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 Pro starts at CNY 4,699 for the 8GB RAM, 128GB storage variant. This converts to roughly Rs. 55,000. There is also an 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant priced at CNY 4,999 which is around Rs. 58,500. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant costs CNY 5,399. Now, this converts to approximately Rs. 63,000.
Lastly, the Xiaomi 12X price in China starts at CNY 3,199 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. This converts to around Rs. 37,500 in the Indian currency. Next, the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant costs CNY 3,499, which is roughly Rs. 41,000. Lastly, there is a 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant as well. Now, this comes with a price tag of CNY 3,799, which converts to approximately Rs. 44,500.
In terms of availability, the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are currently limited to China. However, they are expected to launch in India and other regions soon. On the other hand, the 12X seems to be permanently limited to China like most smartphone carrying ‘X’ in their moniker. So, no hope for its India availability.
Xiaomi 12 Specifications
Starting off with the display, the standard model will come with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display. In addition, the display comes with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It will feature 12-bit colours and offer a peak brightness of 1100 nits. As the leaks suggested, yes, the display will also come with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. On top, there will also be Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The display of the smartphone also offers a pixel density of 419PPI.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This is the latest and greatest chipset by Qualcomm. In terms of performance, this is the epitome of what the best chipset in the world can offer.

For photos and videos, the smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and macro sensor. At the front, the smartphone will come with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The phone’s speakers are tuned by Harman Kardon. Furthermore, the speakers are backed by Dolby Atmos support as well. In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 12 will pack a 4,500mAh battery. This rated battery capacity will pair up with 67W fast charging support. In addition, the handset also supports 50W wireless fast charging. We also get 10W reverse charging support. Xiaomi 12 comes in four colour options, a Black, Blue, Green and Pink gradient.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Specifications
Talking about the display, yes, the 12 Pro does indeed feature a bigger 6.73-inch AMOLED display. In addition, the display comes with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. The display comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate alongside a peak brightness of 1500 nits. We get to see Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top as well, like the vanilla model. The display offers a pixel density of 522PPI.
On the processor front, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. In terms of optics, the smartphone offers a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and another 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie sensor.

When it comes to battery, the Pro model packs a tad bit larger 4,600mAh battery. Also, it does bundle a faster 120W fast charging support. We also get 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging support, like on the standard model.
Xiaomi 12X Specifications
The Xiaomi 12X specs include a 6.28-inch display. On the processor front, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Talking about the battery, the device packs the same 4,500mAh battery as the standard model. Besides, it also offers the same 67W fast charging support. Talking about the camera, it offers a triple rear camera setup that is driven by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
