All WhatsApp Business users will soon be able to use the ‘Collections’ feature, according to reports. Businesses will be able to better organise their catalogues and classify things into categories as a result of this. The new Collections feature is currently being rolled out to users all over the world. Individual accounts will not observe any changes in the app because this feature is only available for Business accounts. WhatsApp is also experimenting with a new control bar feature. The new feature will make it easier for users to pause and resume movies in picture-in-picture (PiP) mode.

WhatsApp Control Bar Feature and Collections Feature
The new Collections feature is reportedly rolling out to all Business users across the world by the instant messaging platform. Users will be able to organise goods in their catalogues by creating ‘collections’. Users can see this option by navigating to Business Tools > Catalog > Add New Collection after tapping on the three dots icon in the top-right corner of a Business account. WhatsApp Business users can give each collection a unique name.
“We want to make WhatsApp the best way for people to shop for goods and services and for businesses to connect with their customers, which is why we are making it easier to see what a business offers on WhatsApp,” WhatsApp said in a statement to TechCrunch.

WhatsApp has also published Android beta 2.21.22.3 for testers, in addition to the Collections feature. According to WABetaInfo, the update includes a new control bar for picture-in-picture video. The control bar will enable users to swiftly pause/ resume a video or open/ close full-screen mode. WhatsApp presently only has a control panel for videos shared from a few platforms, but it is now apparently being expanded to include all videos. Picture-in-picture mode on WhatsApp is limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, ShareChat, and Streamable content. In full-screen mode, WhatsApp adds two more options for YouTube videos: “Watch Later” and “Share”.
