  • WhatsApp Unveils New Feature: WhatsApp has announced the introduction of video messages to its platform. Much like voice messages, users will soon have the capability to send video messages on WhatsApp. This upcoming feature enables you to record video messages directly within the app and send them with ease.

The rollout of this new functionality has already commenced. It will be progressively available to all users over the next few weeks, according to WhatsApp’s official announcement.

    Know About New Feature

WhatsApp already features an in-app camera that allows users to record videos and share them within the app. However, the new concept introduced with “video messages” aims to provide a seamless way to send instant video messages on WhatsApp. With this feature, users will have the convenience of recording and sending 60-second videos directly within the app. This makes the process as effortless as sending voice messages.

According to WhatsApp, the newly introduced video messages, like all other content on the app, will benefit from end-to-end encryption, ensuring privacy and security. Users will also have the option to react to video messages using various emojis and reply to them individually.

The announcement of this exciting feature was made by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday on the Meta Channel via Instagram. While the rollout has already commenced, it will take a few weeks for all users on both Android and iOS platforms to gain access to the video messages functionality.

In recent times, WhatsApp has been introducing a series of updates to enhance user experience. Just this week, they included various new features such as chat transfer to iPhone without needing iCloud backup, landscape mode for video calls, and a redesigned sticker tray specifically for iOS users. Moreover, WhatsApp has now officially launched a dedicated app for Wear OS, catering to smartwatch users. These updates signify WhatsApp’s commitment to improving its services and providing a better overall platform for its users.
