WhatsApp has been adding features one by one to improve the customer experience. The messaging app was found developing a feature that would allow users to hide their connections from certain persons. WhatsApp has finally brought out the feature after months of testing. Users will be able to hide their last seen and status updates from persons they don’t like with WhatsApp’s new feature upgrade.

WhatsApp stated on Twitter, “To further protect your privacy online, we’re rolling out new options to your privacy control settings.” You can now choose who in your contact list has access to your Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status.
Previously, users could not hide their last seen and status updates from specific persons. Users have only three options: “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody.” Users can now select “My Contacts except.”
WhatsApp Finally Lets You Hide Your Last Seen
If you choose “Everyone” before writing a status, your last seen, profile photo, about, and status will be visible to all users. If you choose ‘My Contacts,’ your last seen, profile photo, about, or status will only be open to your address book contacts.
Similarly, if you choose ‘My Contacts Except…,’ your last seen, profile photo, about, or status will be available to your address book contacts, except those you exclude, and if you choose ‘Nobody,’ your last seen, profile photo, about, or status will be unavailable to anybody.

The App previously revealed that it is rolling out a slew of group call capabilities. Users can now mute particular people during a call using the app. However, it is unclear whether the ability to mute will be open to all participants or only the group administrator.
Similarly, users will be able to message particular people while on the phone. The app has also added a new icon that will help users know when more individuals join the call.
Prior to the group call function, WhatsApp had made it possible for users to move their chat history, images, videos, and voice messages from Android to iPhone using Apple’s Move to iOS feature.
