WhatsApp Channel Gets New Features

WhatsApp has introduced new Channel features, including voice updates, polls, status sharing, and more. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the changes on his WhatsApp Channel.

“We’re announcing a bunch of new features for WA channels, including voice notes, multiple admins and sharing to status and polls, which is great because I need help settling a debate,” said Mark Zuckerberg.

First is the Voice Update feature, where admins can now share voice notes on their WhatsApp channels to better communicate with their audience. Moreover, you can also share polls in Channels with different options.

Similarly, users can share messages received in a Channel to their WhatsApp Status. Another new feature is that WhatsApp Channel can now have up to 16 admins, allowing better management and timely updation of the channel.

These features are now rolling out worldwide for both iOS and Android users. Moreover, the company revealed the channels have more than 500 million monthly active users with thousands of channels, which include Mumbai Indians, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, National Geographic and more.
