Vivo has launched its V29 series of smartphones in India with a focus on photography. This series includes the Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro. These premium smartphones feature a curved display on the front and colours inspired by India. While the V29 made its debut globally earlier this year, the V29 Pro is exclusive to India.
Vivo V29 And V29 Pro Specifications
Both phones feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, these displays have a peak brightness of 1,300 nits with support for 2160Hz PWM dimming.
In addition, the Vivo V29 series has launched in India with a Himalayan Blue colour. This variant has India’s first “3D Particle technology” that can use magnetic forces to create cascading shadows and light on the back of the phone.

The V29 features the Snapdragon 778G processor, whereas the V29 Pro sports the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. Both phones run on FunTouch OS 13 based on Android 13 with up to 12GB of RAM. The phones are available in two variants with 128GB or 256GB of storage.
For optics, the V29 series has a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The only difference is the V29 Pro has a 12-megapixel portrait sensor while the V29 has a 2-megapixel bokeh lens. On the front, both phones have a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The V29 Pro is the first phone in the V-Series with a 2x portrait lens, and the company claims it can produce a “professional DSLR-like portrait effect”.Both phones feature Vivo’s Smart Aura light, which can adjust colour temperature from 1800K (warm) to 4500K (cool) to improve the lighting on the subject. There is also the ability to capture night portraits and an exclusive Wedding Portrait feature.
The V29 series of phones comes with a 4,600mAh battery with support for 80W FlashCharge.They have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3,5G, GPS, GLONASS and dual-SIM support for connectivity.
Vivo V29 Series Pricing And Availability
The Vivo V29 is priced at Rs.32,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, whereas the 12+256GB variant of the phone will cost Rs.36,999. It will be available in three colours: Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red and Space Black.

The V29 Pro, on the other hand, has launched in India for Rs.39,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. Another variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available for Rs.42,999. The phone will go on sale in Himalayan Blue and Space Black colours.
Both phones will be available on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store and offline retail stores from October 10. The company is also offering an international warranty on the Vivo V29. Deliveries of the V29 will start on October 10, whereas the Pro model will begin shipping on October 17.
