The Nothing Phone 2 leaks have been around for a while now. It is official that the future Nothing smartphone will make its debut in the summer of 2023. Nothing, the manufacturer of the Ear (2) (Review), had not officially announced the use of a Snapdragon 8 series SoC in their upcoming smartphone. The CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, withheld any additional information on the SoC. However, the processor, RAM, and software specifications for the Nothing Phone 2 have recently surfaced in a new report.

Nothing Phone 2: Specs and More Details
According to a Geekbench listing for the Nothing Phone 2, which MySmartPrice discovered, the device may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with the working name Taro. A prime core with a maximum clock speed of 3.0GHz is present. The SoC has four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz and three performance cores running at 2.5GHz. These hints suggest Nothing Phone 2 might utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Despite being a few generations old, the processor is still extremely powerful compared to the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC featured in the Nothing Phone (1) (Review), which is a few generations newer.
The device reportedly performed well on the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, scoring 1253 and 3833 points, respectively. According to the rumour, the Phone 2 would debut with at least 12GB of RAM. Seeing an 8GB RAM version of the Nothing Phone 2 wouldn’t be shocking. The smartphone will probably come with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. According to the source, it might also run Android 13 out of the box. The Phone 2 will likely have Nothing OS 1.5 on top of it.

Nothing Phone 2 has cleared the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification website, indicating an imminent Indian launch. Flipkart has officially confirmed its plans to sell the Phone 2 in India post-launch.
Rumours suggest that the Nothing Phone 2 will feature an improved Glyph Interface, a larger 5,000mAh battery, and obtain official IP certification.
