Tecno Spark 8 launches in India as a successor to the Tecno Spark 7 series. According to the company, it is yet another future-ready smartphone that flaunts segment-leading features from its iconic SPARK series. The company also notes it has consolidated its position among the top 5 players in India, in the ₹6,000-10,000 segment. The all-new smartphone comes with disruptive features. In terms of pricing, the Tecno Spark 8 carries a price tag of ₹7,999. It comes in Atlantic Blue, Turquoise Cyan, and Iris Purple colours. The smartphone will go on sale from September 15. Moreover, it can be purchased from retail stores across the country.

In terms of specifications, the Spark 8 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera. It also has a 120Hz touch response rate for smoother operation.

Under the hood, it comes with the MediaTek A25 SoC. It comes along with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. This is expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. In addition, it runs on HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11(Go edition). This is specifically designed for smartphones with lower RAM storage.
In terms of optics, Tecno Spark 8 sports dual rear cameras that come inside a square-shaped camera module. It houses a 16-megapixel primary and a secondary camera sensor. At the front, it houses an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The camera app on the Tecno Spark 8 also comes pre-loaded with modes like 1080p time-lapse photography, smile capture, panorama, portrait mode, 120fps slow motion and more.

The camera module also houses a fingerprint scanner for biometric security and Quad Flash. Furthermore, the Tecno Spark 8 carries a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging. It also claims to deliver roughly 29 days of standby time, 31 hours of talk time, and 13.27 hours of game length. Other notable features on Spark 8 include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm jack.
