Tecno has confirmed the launch of a new entry-level smartphone in India called the Tecno Pop 8. The new budget phone, which arrived globally in October, is now making its way to the Indian shores.

Tecno Pop 8 Expected Specs And Price In India
Tecno has posted a teaser of the phone’s launch on X (Formerly Twitter) with the caption “Accelerate to outpace them all” with the hashtag Pop 8 Up and text “Coming Soon”. However, the company did not disclose the exact launch date of the smartphone.

Furthermore, tipster Paras Guglani has revealed the Indian variant of the phone will have the same specifications as the global one. According to tipster, the Tecno Pop 8 will have a price tag of less than Rs.6,999 in India.
In addition, a live image of the phone showcasing its AnTuTu score of 2,40,205. This will make the fastest smartphone in its segment. The Pop 8 will be available in four colours: Mystery White, Alpenglow Gold, Magic Skin and Gravity Black.
Pop 8 Specifications
The Tecno Pop 8 sports a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the screen has a centre punch hole cutout with a Dynamic Port feature that functions similarly to Dynamic Island on iPhones.

The UniSoc T616 chipset powers the phone paired with up to 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the Pop 8 runs on Android 13 Go edition and comes with 128GB storage, further expandable up to 1TB via a micro-SD card slot.
For optics, the device has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a secondary AI lens with LED flash. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter for taking selfies.

The Tecno Pop 8 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. For connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB-C, FM and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The device has stereo dual speakers with DTS support.
