Samsung Rolls Out Android 12-Based One UI 4 For Galaxy S21 Handsets

  • Samsung declared on Monday that it has begun pushing out One UI 4 on Galaxy S21 series smartphones. The series includes Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The brand-new Android 12-Based One UI 4 update will give users new customisation options, privacy features, and a complete elevated mobile experience. The update will be soon out for the other smartphone devices in the following months.

    As per the announcement by the South Korean giant, the Samsung One UI 4 update is available for Galaxy S21 ₹55,849, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra ₹105,999 smartphones. Samsung has also mentioned it will roll out the update to the other older Galaxy smartphone devices shortly. The Galaxy series comprises Galaxy S series, Galaxy Note series, Galaxy Z series, Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S7 series tablets.

    Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform Team at Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics also mentioned that the brand is giving access to the best mobile experiences possible, as soon as possible. Samsung released the Android 12-Based one UI 4.0 third Beta update in September. It added innovative themes, colour pallets, and privacy settings to the handsets.

    Android 12-Based One UI 4 features

    As far as the features are concerned, the stable Samsung One UI 4 update brings more customisation options with a new set of Color Palettes. It will allow users to change the appearance and feel of the home screen icons, menu, button, and background. It also comes with new widgets and a wider variety of emoji features, GIFs, and stickers on the keyboard. 

    Samsung One UI 4 privacy features comprise alerts when an app tries to access the camera or microphone, a new privacy dashboard for settings, and controls for comfortable monitoring. The update also gives support to third-party apps and services.

    Samsung also released an official rollout notice for One UI 4 on its smartphones which was later deleted. But later tipster Tron (@FrontTron) posted the image claiming to be the official notice. According to the notice, the Galaxy Z, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Note 20 series will get the update in December. While Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10 series and older foldable may get the update in January or February.
