Samsung’s August 2021 Unpacked event unveiled the new versions of foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch. However, to utter dismay, the event didn’t shed light on the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The S21 series was launched in January 2021, making it highly probable that the S22 would be released early in 2022. The recent leak tipped the specifications of this much-anticipated series.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is up for significant upgrades from its predecessor, as the camera upgrade with a 200 MP image sensor. The latest leak gives a good view of the specifications for the next Samsung Flagship series. The series will have 3 models under it – Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Specifications
The flagship smartphone will feature a 6.06-inch LTPS display with a Full HD+ resolution. The S22+ will have a 6.55-inch LTPS display with a Full HD+ resolution. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch LTPO display with a Quad HD+ resolution. All the devices will have a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ might have a 50-megapixel primary camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical variable. The Galaxy S22 Ultra might come with a 108-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto 3x optical variable and a 12-megapixel periscope 12x optical variable.
Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S22 will pack a 3800 mAh battery, while Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will have 4600 mAh and 5000 mAh, respectively. The variants may be powered by either the Samsung Exynos 2200 with AMD or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898. As for the RAM and storage, it matches Galaxy S21 series.
