The latest update for the Samsung Galaxy A80 brings the latest Android security patch. The update is rolling out in European markets first, including Cyprus, Germany, Greece, and others. The Galaxy S10 series devices were the first to receive the July 2021 Android security patch and later to the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A51 smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 was launched in India in July 2019 and came pre-installed with Android 9 Pie. In March 2020, the smartphone received the Android 10 update, followed by the Android 11 update in March 2021.

SamMobile reported regarding the update for the Samsung Galaxy A80. According to Samsung’s documentation, the current update is just introducing the July 2021 Android security patch to the smartphone. The update is rolling out in Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom, according to reports. There is no word on when the latest Android security patch for the Samsung Galaxy A80 will come in other locations, including India.

The firmware version with the update is A805FXXS6DUG3, although the update’s size is unknown at this time. Users of the Samsung Galaxy A80 should connect to a strong Wi-Fi network and keep it on charging to update the device. Although the update should be automatic, users can manually check for it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The rotating camera system on the smartphone also serves as a selfie camera. It has a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
