According to new pictures of the next smartwatch shared by a tipster, it will have calling capability as well as built-in GPS, all of which are present on its predecessor, the Oppo Watch. The main specifications for the soon-to-be-released wearable were leaked last week, indicating that the smartwatch will be powered by a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and have up to 16GB of internal storage.

Some images of the Oppo Watch 2 have been leaked by tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks). The images suggest that the Oppo smartwatch will feature calling, as well as the option to display navigation data, which could indicate the presence of a built-in GPS. In China, the first-generation Oppo Watch offered e-SIM support, as well as calling ability and a GPS chip. Both of these capabilities are likely to be included in the upcoming smartwatch.

The Oppo Watch 2 will launch in China on July 27 at 3 p.m. local time (12:30 p.m. IST), according to the company. The launch date was confirmed via a Weibo post, which stated that the launch will be for the latest Oppo Watch series, implying that the smartwatch would be available in different sizes, similar to the first-generation Oppo Watch.

Oppo Watch 2 Specifications
The Oppo Watch 2 will feature Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and include up to 16GB of storage, according to ITHome. According to the source, the Snapdragon chipset will run on the Apollo4s chipset, implying that the smartwatch may use the Apollo4 processor for better battery life.
The smartwatch will be IPX5 water-resistant and have more than 50 sports modes. It will feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a built-in GPS for connectivity.
It is yet unclear when the Chinese tech giant will introduce the Oppo Watch 2 to India. The original Oppo Watch took roughly four months to reach Indian shores following its launch in China.
