Samsung Galaxy A54 Launch Date Confirmed, Know What’s Special In It

Samsung recently launched its latest premium smartphone series, the Galaxy S23 lineup. The lineup includes three smartphones – the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra that are currently available in India. The South Korean tech giant is now all set to refresh its mid-range A-series lineup with a new phone. Samsung has created a microsite for the upcoming Galaxy A54 smartphone on its official website. As per the microsite, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 launch takes place on March 16. The launch event which the company describes as “Join to Amp Your Awesome” will begin at noon. The micro-site also includes a “Notify Me” option for users interested in receiving updates about the launch.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 smartphone will replace the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, which has launched in 2022. Apart from revealing the launch date, the microsite also details some of the key features of the upcoming phone.

Samsung Galaxy A54 Expected Price

Rumours suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 launch price will be under Rs 40,000 in India. The site does not mention the name of the phone that will launch on the mentioned date. However, the images shown in the micro-site align with the leaked renders of the Galaxy A54 that were exposed earlier. Samsung hasn’t revealed anything about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A34 smartphone in India.

Samsung Galaxy A54 Launch: Expected Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G could feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen that may support Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The smartphone is likely to power by the Exynos 1380 chipset built on a 5nm process, supported with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

According to the rumour, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup that includes – a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro unit. Up front, the smartphone could have a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The Galaxy A54 could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. You can expect the smartphone to run on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box.

The micro-site also confirms that the upcoming smartphone will have an IP67 water- and dust-resistant rating. Samsung has also promised that the Galaxy A54 will offer better low-light photography and a premium design with a rear panel made of glass. To compare, the Galaxy A53 5G sports a polycarbonate rear panel.
