Samsung has started rolling out a Virtual RAM feature for the Galaxy A52s 5G with the new software update. To recall, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G in India a few days ago. However, just a few days after its launch, the company is rolling out a new software update for the smartphone. This update brings a feature that is now available in Vivo, Xiaomi and Realme recently launched devices – RAM Plus. This Virtual RAM feature provides better multitasking, which leverages some additional memory from the phone’s internal storage.

Samsung Rolling Out RAM Plus Virtual RAM Feature Like Vivo, Realme and Xiaomi
To the unaware, Virtual RAM is a concept like ‘Virtual Memory’ available in PCs. It refers to the ability to expand the temporary (volatile) memory. That is – RAM by taking resources from the internal flash storage. It is a very basic memory management approach where secondary memory can be used as a part of the main memory. However, one should note it doesn’t really cut short the work of the physical RAM module in the smartphone. But it aids in clearing the pipeline of tasks faster. Simply put, it is basically additional storage space for volatile tasks like keeping apps ready in the background. Now, this RAM Plus feature provides better multitasking, which leverages some additional memory from the phone’s internal storage.

Meanwhile, Galaxy A52s new software update brings in the latest August 2021 security patch. The company has improved the stability of the camera through the latest software build. Apart from this, Samsung also has fixed some known issues and minor bugs with the new software update. As mentioned above, the smartphone now has offers 4GB Virtual RAM support. The newly rolling software update for the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is 250.49MB in size and it carries the firmware version as A528BXXU1AUH9.
