Xiaomi has launched their Redmi Note 11 series of devices in China on October 28, 2021. Alongside the Note 11 series of devices, the brand has also launched their Redmi Watch 2 smartwatch in the country. The Watch 2 has gone official as a direct successor to the vanilla Redmi Watch which went official earlier this year itself. Without any further ado, here is a quick rundown of the price and specs of the newly launched smartwatch by Xiaomi.
Redmi Watch 2 Price and Availability
The Redmi Watch 2 price in China has been set at CNY 399. In the Indian currency, this converts to roughly Rs. 4,700. The smartwatch is now up for pre-ordering in China via JD.com. Moreover, it will go on sale from November 1, 2021. It is available in the Elegant Black, Space Blue, and Ivory colour options.

For now, the device seems to be limited to the Chinese market. However, we can expect to see the smartwatch launch in India as well alongside the Redmi Note 11 series of smartphones.
Redmi Watch 2 Specifications and Features
Being a successor to the Redmi Watch, the Watch 2 definitely comes with quite a few upgrades. Starting off with the display, it features a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with more vivid colours. In addition, we also get to see narrow bezels all around the display. Compared to the Redmi Watch, this comes with a significantly larger screen-to-body ratio. To recall, the vanilla Watch arrived with a 1.4-inch TFT LCD display placed on a square frame.

Moving to its features, the newly launched smartwatch by Xiaomi comes with over a 100 watch faces. We also get to see fitness based features like a 117 sports modes. On the Redmi Watch, there were only 11 sports modes so, this is indeed a huge upgrade. In addition, the Redmi Watch 2 also comes with in-built GPS. This will allow users to leave their phone behind and the watch will still be able to track their activity.

When it comes to battery, the newly launched Xiaomi smartwatch claims to deliver a backup of up to 12 days on a single charge. Moreover, the smartwatch also comes with a 5ATM water resistance rating. It comes with interchangeable straps as well and weighs only 31 grams. It also offers users with notification alerts from the phone. We also get to see NFC support on the smartwatch.
