  • Xiaomi launched their Redmi Note 11 series of smartphones in China yesterday, that is, October 28, 2021. The series consists of the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Now, the Indian variants of the smartphones have been certified, which hints at an imminent launch.

Noted tipster Mukul Sharma took to Twitter to reveal a bunch of important things about the devices. Sharma reports that the Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ models have received the Indian BIS certification. Further, he tweeted that both the devices have made an appearance on the Google Supported Devices list. He goes on to say that both these devices will also make an appearance on the Google Play Console listing very soon now.

Moreover, the Google Supported Devices listing of the two devices reveals their model numbers. The Indian variants of the Redmi Note 11 and Note 11 Pro+ will carry the model numbers of 2109111C and 21091116UC, respectively.

Another crucial thing that Sharma notes is that the two devices have not been registered under the Redmi branding in either of the certifications. So, these are probably going to add the Xiaomi moniker instead, which means that they will launch as rebranded devices. However, this is just a suggestion offered by Sharma and probably not be the case. But, not something to rule out entirely as we do know that Xiaomi has launched devices in a similar fashion in the recent past.
