Redmi K50 Gaming Series Key Specs Leaked: Here’s What To Expect

After unveiling the Redmi K40 series, Xiaomi is prepping up to launch the Redmi K50 gaming series shortly. Although the brand is yet to announce the K50 series launch date, the rumours are coming that the Redmi K40 series successor models will unveil in China in December 2021. Also, during the launch, users may witness the launch of the Redmi K50 series in International markets under the Xiaomi, Poco branding.

Recently, the specifications of two Redmi gaming devices codenamed Matisse and Rubens have been leaked under the Redmi K50 series. Talking about the Xiaomi Matisse (L10), according to XiaomiUI, the device will consist of three regional variants for its launch in China, India and other global markets. As per the IMEI listing, the Redmi smartphone has 21121210C, 21121210I and 21121210G model numbers. Further, the report suggests that this handset can be launched as Redmi K50 Gaming/ Redmi K50 Gaming Pro in China and Poco F4 GT in other markets.

XiaomiUI claims that the model numbers hint at the December launch. But the device may not get launched by that time due to its software still standing under development. Apart from this, the smartphone will run on the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. It will come with a 120Hz/ 144Hz OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner from Goodix or FPC.

If we talk about optics, Xiaomi Matisse will have a quad-camera module having a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 as the primary sensor. Additionally, it will feature a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08856 telemacro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. 

Coming to Xiaomi Rubens, the handset has the model number 22041211AC and is likely to get launched exclusively in China. It could debut as Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition with the rumoured MediaTek Dimensity 7000 SoC. It will feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3 camera. The device will probably launch in April 2022.
