Xiaomi launched a new smartphone under the K40 series. Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has launched in China as the latest entrant in the series. The phone, as the name suggests, carries some dedicated gaming features. Moreover, it has retractable shoulder buttons, three mics, Dolby Atmos support, and audio tuned by JBL, among others. In addition, it is more like a regular phone and less like the other gaming phones.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Price
Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition base 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 23,000). Whereas, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants are priceing at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 25,300) and CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs 27,600). Moreover, it also comes in 12GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants priced at CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs 27,600) and CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 31,050).
Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition comes in Silver and Black color options. There is also a special “Bruce Lee King of Kung Fu” edition, which comes in Yellow color with a Black stripe in between. The special edition variant comes in a single 12GB + 256GB variant priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 32,200).

Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition Specifications
It sports a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and an HDR10+. It also, in addition, comes with 1.8mm bezels on three sides and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Moreover, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box.
As for the cameras, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will have a triple camera setup at the back that includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.
