Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi 9 series smartphone in India. Redmi 9 Activ has launched as the latest budget smartphone offering under the Rs.10,000 segment. Moreover, the “Activ” variant is a slight upgrade of the Redmi9. In addition, it comes with more RAM under the hood compared to the latter. The phone also packs a massive battery.
Redmi 9 Activ comes in two storage options. The base 4GB RAM variant has 64GB of internal storage and is available at Rs. 9,499. There is also a 6GB + 128GB storage option priced at Rs. 10,999.

It comes in Carbon Black, Coral Green, Sky Blue and Sporty Orange. As mentioned earlier, the Redmi 9 Activ goes on sale via Mi.com, Amazon India and Mi offline stores starting September 24, 2021.
Redmi 9 Activ Specifications
It sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1600 resolution. It has a waterdrop notch on top for the front camera. The phone has a slightly thick chin bezel and a 20:9 aspect ratio. In terms of optics, the phone bears a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5-megapixel front camera. The phone runs Android 11-based MIUI 12 out of the box. It weighs 194 grams and is 7.7mm thick.

Under the hood, the smartphone powers on a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. The processor is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage via a microSD card. The Redmi 9 Activ packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 10W charging. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
