Earlier this week, HMD Global confirmed the launch event on October 6, 2021, via Twitter. Many speculated that the rumoured Nokia G50 5G and T20 tablet could launch during this event. However, in a surprising move, the company very subtely launched Nokia G50 this Wednesday on September 22, 2021. Although it is exclusive to the UK market right now. But we can expect it to be available in other markets later.
Nokia G50 price has a price tag of GBP 199.99 (roughly ₹20,100) for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB variant. The phone comes in Midnight Sun and Ocean Blue colours. It is available for purchase in the UK as mentioned above. However, details about the launch of the G50 in markets including India are still unknown.

Nokia G50 Specifications
It sports a 6.8-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1640 pixels. The phone also comes with a waterdrop-style or V-notch housing the front-facing camera.

Under the hood, the Nokia G50 powers on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. It comes along with 4GB of RAM. In terms of optics, it houses the triple rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, the new smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.
Software-wise, the phone runs Android 11 out of the box with two years of guaranteed software upgrades and three years of monthly security updates. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia G50 offers 5G, 4G with VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The storage can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card. However, there is no dedicated microSD slot. Nokia has opted for a hybrid slot for the G50.
