Smartphone manufacturers are racing to launch their new phones featuring the new Qualcomm SoC before anyone else. But it looks like Realme GT 2 Pro will be the first one among the other brands. As confirmed before, it will be featuring the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, rumours suggest that the phone will launch sometime in Q1 2022 at least globally and in Indian markets.
Although it may take some time to launch, the company is ready to reveal some details of the phone. This move is apparently to compete against Motorola that is launching the Moto Edge X30 in China on the same day. Both phones are marketing themselves to be the first ones to bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones. Especially when the Motorola phone is ready to go for sale later this month.

Realme GT 2 Pro Unveiling on December 9
It’s quite evident that Realme wants to be the first brand with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Along with Motorola, Xiaomi has also confirmed its plan to bring its new flagship smartphone with the new SoC this year. In the race to be the first one, Realme is hoping to get some extra eyeballs against Motorola’s launch.
From the above poster, you can see above it does not explicitly tell us whether the brand will make just an announcement regarding the launch date of the Realme GT 2 Pro. The question remains as to whether it will be on some other day or will it straight up launch the phone on December 9, 2021. Meanwhile, whatever happens, there will be something substantial coming out about the phone be it its details or the phone.

Realme GT2 Pro: All You Need to Know
Some recent reports suggested that the phone may come with 125W fast charging and feature a 120Hz display. Previous renders suggesting the design of the GT 2 Pro also indicated that the phone may come with a vertical camera bar at the back. Moreover, a recent leak with an image hints that the phone is similar to that of the Nexus 6P from 2015.
Furthermore, Realme GT 2 Pro may feature a 6.8-inch WQHD+ OLED display. From previous leaks, it may sport a triple rear camera system consisting of 50-megapixel dual rear cameras and a GR lens. It may also have a 32-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies. It may offer up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The smartphone could be running Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top. It may also support 125W charging.

As mentioned before, there’s a big chance that the company might just give out some details of the phone rather than launching. As they would not want to reveal its most premium flagship without any big marketing that spans for at least a week. Thus, it’s possible that Realme GT 2 Pro will be announced on December 9, 2021. With a proper launch event to follow later sometime.
