Realme is yet to launch Realme GT in India although it is available in global markets right now. Realme India CEO has confirmed that the phone will launch before Diwali. Now, in a recent development, Realme President Wang Wei Derek posts on Weibo that Realme GT 2 is in the works. Moreover, he also confirms that the phone will power on Snapdragon’s next flagship SoC ie., Snapdragon 895.

Realme GT 2 to be Powered by Snapdragon 895?
Realme President confirms that the Realme GT 2 is in the works. He also confirmed its plan to launch the phone with the awaited Snapdragon SoC. If we remember, the Snapdragon 895 chipset is expected to launch in Q4 2021. So we are safe to assume that the new phone will not launch before this. Although when it does launch, this smartphone will be the first to launch with a new chipset.

Furthermore, considering the post, it looks like the Realme GT series will only include the flagship phones. Realme GT 2 will come with flagship features. Meanwhile, Realme recently announced the Realme GT globally. It is said to be working on the Realme GT Master Edition as well. Moreover, there are rumors indicating that it is working with the Veteran camera brand, Kodak to upgrade its camera features.

To recall, the predecessor features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Realme GT 5G offers a 64MP triple-camera setup including an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The device has a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. So we can expect that the Realme GT 2 can also come with such flagship features. Whereas, some leaks claim the Realme GT 5G Master Edition will offer different specifications compared to the vanilla Realme GT 5G.
