Realme recently launched its latest Realme 9 series in India with two variants in the lineup. But it looks like the company is working on a special edition for one of the variants in the lineup. Apparently, Realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire has surfaced in news quite a lot in the past few weeks. Just last week, a sketch of its design surfaced. However, this time around we have live images of the smartphone ahead of its launch. Moreover, the company has confirmed the launch date of the Free Fire in Thailand.

Realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Edition Launch Date Next Week
The company has revealed that the smartphone will be launched in Thailand on April 12, 2022. However, the company has not yet announced the launch of this phone in other countries including India. The company also shared images of the upcoming Realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Edition in a series of posts shared on the Realme Thailand Facebook page. The images show the smartphone’s design from different angles.
Although one should note that Realme’s Free Fire edition might not launch in India. Considering how the Garena Free Fire has just recently moved into the banned list. Apart from this, the images shows the company’s logo at the bottom left of the phone, which is moved to the centre. On the bottom are the words Free Fire, while the company has also included the word “Booyah!” around the camera module. Now, for those who don’t know, a booyah is an expression used to refer to a victory in Garena Free Fire.

Realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Edition Specs (Expected)
Now, this Realme edition will have the exact specifications as the standard model. It has a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate sensor, 1,080 X 2,400 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and 2.5D curved glass.
In addition, it has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and a brightness of 430nits. MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset, Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage power the smartphone.

Realme 9 Pro+ 5G Free Fire will come with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens. In addition, it will come with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The smartphone also features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 selfie camera in the front, with an f/2.4 aperture lens, for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options on the handset include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. It packs a 4,500mAh battery that offers support for 60W SuperDart fast charging. Furthermore, it comes with up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage.
