Realme 8i, Realme 8s and Realme Pad India Launch Set For September 9

Realme is now gearing up to officially launch two devices, namely, the Realme 8i and Realme 8s in India. The launch date for the devices have been scheduled for September 9, 2021. Besides, both the devices have been in the leaks for quite some time now. The 8s surfaced online back in July of this year. However, the 8i is a comparatively newer rumour mill favourite.

In addition, noted tipster Debayan Roy also deciphers certain hidden clues which hint at the Realme Pad launch as well. According to him, the Realme Pad will launch alongside the Realme 8i and Realme 8s in the country. He takes to Twitter to post a screenshot of a Flipkart-based hint for the device, which ultimately decodes as Realme Pad. So, we will most likely be seeing the launch of all three of these devices on September 9th.

Now, the Realme 8i specs have recently surfaced online and we know what to expect from it. Besides, the Realme Pad has recently been spotted on Geekbench. So, we know the key specs of Realme’s upcoming tablet as well. Without any further ado, let us take a quick look at the expected specifications of these devices.

Realme 8i Specifications (Expected)

The Realme 8i will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ 120Hz display with a punch-hole design. On the processor front, the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. Further, the octa-core chipset pairs up with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. When it comes to software, the device runs on Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top.

For photos and videos, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 108-megapixel primary rear camera sensor alongside two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro shots, respectively. On the battery front, the smartphone will pack a big 5000mAh battery. Lastly, the Realme 8i will come with a thickness of 8.6mm and weigh 194 grams.

Realme 8s Specifications (Expected)

The Realme 8s specs include a 6.5-inch 90 Hz refresh rate display. The smartphone will come with a 64-megapixel primary rear camera setup. At the front, the device is expected to carry a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. This octa-core chipset pairs up with two RAM and storage options. These are 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage variants. Moving to software, the smartphone runs on Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top, like the Realme 8i. The device will pack a similar 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support as well.

Realme Pad Specifications (Expected)

Going by the Geekbench listing for the Realme Pad, the device will be powered by the MediaTek MT6769V/CU chipset. Now, this particular chipset is actually the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The budget gaming chipset will pair up with 4GB of RAM and run on Android 11 OS.

According to other leaks and reports, the Realme Pad will come with a big 10.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. The tablet has also made an appearance on the TUV Rheinland certification website. Now, this revealed that the Realme Pad packs a 7,100mAh battery.
