Realme 12 Pro Series To Have Periscope Lens, Will Be Available On Flipkart

Realme has teased the launch of its upcoming Realme 12 Pro series in India. The company has been hinting at the arrival of a new phone with a periscope lens.

The 12 Pro series will likely include the Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro Plus. Moreover, both phones will go on sale via Flipkart in the country. Here is everything you need to know about them.

Realme 12 Pro Series Teased To Have Periscope Lens

According to the phone’s microsite on Flipkart, the 12 Pro series will have a periscope lens as the text claims: “Beyond 200MP, Periscope awaits”. Although Realme has not confirmed the upcoming Realme 12 Pro series, the Flipkart URL does mention the phone will be a member of the 12 Pro series.

The company has also posted some samples of the new periscope lens on the site, comparing it to a 200-megapixel sensor. It showcases the low light and zoom capabilities of the sensor.

Furthermore, it offers customers a chance to trade in their 200-megapixel smartphone and receive Realme Buds Air 5 worth Rs.3,699 with the launch of the 12 Pro series.

Expected Specifications Of The Phones

Based on the renders by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Realme 12 Pro and Pro+ will have a similar design to the Realme 11 Pro series. It will have a vegan leather back and a quad-camera setup with a curved display.

According to the TENNA listing, both phones will have 6.7-inch Full-HD+ curved OLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. They will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 2412 x 1080 pixels resolution.

The Realme 12 Pro will use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, while the Pro Plus will utilize the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with up to 16GB of RAM.

Both are likely to run on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box paired with up to 1TB of storage. The phones will be available in Orange, Cream and Black colours.

Camera Specifications Of The Phones

For optics, the Realme 12 Pro will sport a 50-megapixel primary, 32-megapixel telephoto and 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens. Moreover, this telephoto lens will offer 2x zoom capability, and the phone will have a 16-megapixel selfie shooter camera.

On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ will have a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel camera for taking selfies.

Both phones will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W SUPERVOOC charging. The Realme 12 Pro will weigh around 190 grams, while the 12 Pro+ has a weight of 196 grams.
