Apple has finally announced the launch date of its much-awaited Apple Vision Pro headset. The company’s first VR headset will arrive later this year, with pre-orders starting this month.

Apple Vision Pro To Launch On February 2
Apple has announced the Apple Vision Pro will go on sale in the US from February 2 and will be available in Apple Stores online as well as offline. The pre-orders for the headset will begin on January 19 at 6:30 PM IST.

Furthermore, the Vision Pro will also arrive in other countries later this year. The headset costs $3,499 (approximately Rs.2,90,000) for the 256GB storage variant.
The Cupertino Giant is also selling ZEISS optical inserts with readers costing $99 (approximately Rs.8,200) and prescription lenses for $149 (around Rs.12,300). Moreover, the base variant of the Vision Pro will include the following items inside the box:
- Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band
- Light Seal and two different light seal cushions
- Cover
- Battery
- USB-C Cable
- USB-C Power Adapter
- Polishing Cloth
Vision Pro Specifications
The Apple Vision Pro boasts two micro OLED screens with a resolution of 4K for each eye. Users can switch between Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) using the dial on the side of the headset.

The Vision Pro uses Apple’s M2 chipset and R1 chip for processing data using the sensors, cameras and microphones. Furthermore, the device also includes support for eye, head and hand tracking.
Apple has also added support for Spatial Video recording to the iPhone 15 Pro series so users can record their precious moments and watch them on the Vision Pro. Moreover, there is support for more than 150 3D titles for the Vision Pro on the Apple TV app.

The device has 12 cameras housed in an aluminium body and a laminated glass covering the display. There is also a button for recording spatial videos and photos.
It will run on Apple’s new VisionOS and support iOS and iPadOS apps without requiring much work from developers. The company has yet to reveal the launch date for the Apple Vision Pro in other countries.
