Now, the most popular take on anniversaries today is by rolling out various new events in video games. Pokemon is no different. This time, we will be getting the Pokemon TCG Live mobile game very soon.
Taking things way back, in the early 2000s, the classic Pokemon games for GameBoy took the world by storm. The popular Pokemon Trading Card Game Online became very popular later on as well. Pokemon TCG Live will be released to replace the currently existing Pokemon Trading Card Game.

Further, the good thing is that this game will be a hundred percent free to download and play across all platforms. Another important thing to add here is that the game will arrive with cross-platform play support as well. Barry Sams, The Pokémon Company’s vice president for the Pokémon TCG Live has stated that, “Pokémon TCG Live will go hand in hand with the tabletop version that fans know and love.” In addition, he also said that the game “welcomes a new era of digital play where Trainers around the world can play together regardless of their preferred platform.”

Pokemon TCG Live: What More?
The Pokemon Trading Card Game is not something that has been around recently. The game has been around since 1999, when it first went official in the United States. Now, during the ongoing pandemic, a lot of such card games and other indoor online mobile game have seen a major rise in its player base. The Pokemon TCG online game is no exception and people have been playing the game a lot lately, according to a report by Polygon.

Moreover, because of the ongoing pandemic, the Pokemon TCG tournament, Pokemon World Championships, was cancelled this year. This is the second consecutive year that the tournament got cancelled because of the pandemic. Plus, because of a lot of other issues within the community, The Pokemon Company decided it was time for a revamp. They will be releasing the Pokemon TCG Live game soon to replace the TCG Online game. Maybe this is the fresh breath of change we needed, after all. However, only time will tell.
