Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro India launch is not happening. Google has confirmed the new officially saying that the series will launch only in some select international markets. As we know, this new series launched just yesterday on October 19, 2021. Interestingly, it launched with the company’s proprietary Tensor SoC. It also features a new design with a horizontal camera bar at the back. But the question remains why is it not launching in India? Read below to know as to why the Indian markets are not included in the select launching markets.
“Due to a variety of factors including global demand supply issues, we are not able to make our products available in all markets. We remain committed to our current Pixel 6 phones. We also look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to more countries in the future”.

Hence, the Pixel 6 series will go on sale in the US, UK, Taiwan, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and Australia. Although this is not the first time the company has decided to not bring its new Pixel phones to India. This is happening for quite some time now. However, it did bring the regular Pixel 4a to the Indian market last year.
Meanwhile, according to market experts Google does not consider India as a priority market. Especially it comes to flagship Pixel phones due to a list of valid reasons. Most Indian consumers prefer specifications while buying phones. For a long time, the Pixel lineup that has been ‘under-specced’ until the Pixel 6 series in that sense did not attract them.

Google Pixel 6 Series Specifications, Price
Pixel 6 series comes with Google’s in-house Tensor chip that has enhanced AI and ML capabilities. However, the Pro model packs 12GB of RAM. Whereas, the vanilla 6 has 8GB RAM. Under the hood, the Pixel 6 Pro has a 5m003mAh battery. Instead, the vanilla launched with a 4,600mAh cell. Both phones support 30W wired fast charging and up to 23W wireless charging as well.

On the other hand, optics-wise, both have a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide. The Pro model gets an additional 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. The Pro also houses a larger 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. Whereas, the vanilla Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
