MWC 2022 is bringing huge announcements this time. Among the various brands, OnePlus has confirmed its plan to bring 150W SuperVOOC charging solution in Q2 2022. According to OnePlus founder and OPPO chief product officer Pete Lau, it will debut on a OnePlus smartphone in Q2 2022. He also confirms more information on launches. But he also reveals some information on the charging solution too. Here’s what he revealed:

OnePlus 150W SuperVOOC Charging: What we know so far
According to the company, he claims the new charging solution can charge a 4,500mAh battery to 50 per cent in just five minutes. Additionally, OnePlus also claims up to 80 per cent battery health after 1,600 charge cycles. As we know, the 150W SuperVOOC charging technology developed by the OPPO Research Institute. Although there is no confirmation on which smartphone it will feature. But many are expecting it to be on the OnePlus 10 Ultra.

Moreover, OnePlus says the super-fast charging is enabled by a customised twin battery. An industry-leading battery PCB protection board and a highly integrated microcontroller to improve overall charging efficiency. Additionally, the 150W SuperVOOC tech boasts a Bionic Electrolyte technology that helps the battery cell self-healing process improve battery health and performance.
Furthermore, the Smart Battery Health Algorithm tracks and controls the maximum charging current for safety purposes. Lastly, the company mentions that the 150W SuperVOOC supports fast charging for tablets, laptops, and mobile gaming consoles.
