The main aspect of this initiative is the introduction of an “Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer” in all upcoming OnePlus AMOLED displays. This innovative layer incorporates PVX edge-sealing material. This creates a robust barrier to minimize moisture and oxygen infiltration into the display. Hence, this advanced structure is designed to extend the display’s lifespan and significantly lower the risk of the green line issue.
The second phase focuses on thorough quality control. In this step more than 180 distinct tests are performed to replicate extreme real-world conditions. Among these is the “Double 85” test, which subjects the display to prolonged exposure at 85°C and 85% humidity, ensuring its performance remains reliable under high stress.
OnePlus introduces a lifetime warranty to address the green line issue across all its smartphone models. This means that even if your phone is out of its warranty period, you are eligible for a complimentary display replacement to resolve the problem.
