So what is the story behind this OnePlus goof-up?

A mistake on social media stays eternal – such is the case with OnePlus. Just yesterday evening, the brand accidentally promotes Samsung’s S-Pen on its official Twitter handle. Interesting, isn’t it? However, lets’ not get excited – it is not a crossover or partnership. It looks like it happened by mistake. Moreover, considering the marketing of the OnePlus Nord 2 taking place through its official handles – this caused quite a stir.

Apparently, the logical explanation is that the agency which manages the social media accounts of OnePlus and Samsung is the same. We know that major brands let agencies handle their social media presence. It looks like the agency mistook the account handle and goofed up. Anyhow, it was a mistake that caused quite a stir. But let’s not forget to err is human.

Moreover, OnePlus too is taking this whole incident in jest. Because it later posted another tweet asking Samsung to promote the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2.

Meanwhile, the brand is getting a hit back due to its manipulation of the OnePlus 9 benchmarking scores. It recently came to light that the Snapdragon 888 SoC in the smartphone isn’t running at its full potential. It is limiting its potential on popular smartphones to save battery life. On the other hand, the company is gearing for the launch of its Nord 2 this month.
