OnePlus 7 Series Receiving all New OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 Update: Here’s the Changelog

The OnePlus 7 series is receiving a new OxygenOS 11 update, which includes system improvements as well as various optimizations. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series were updated to Android 11 in March, but the company issued a hotfix build in April to resolve bugs in the initial release. The new update, OxygenOS 11.0.2.1, delivers the Android security patch up to June 2021, along with fixes and optimizations.

OnePlus 7 Series OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 Update Changelog

The OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 update for the OnePlus 7 series has been released for the Indian, North American, and European markets. According to the changelog posted on the official forum; the update includes a few system improvements such as lesser power usage and better overheating control management. Some platforms’ issues with playing high-definition videos have also been resolved. The Android security patch has been updated to June 20, 2021.

Some users were encountering crashes with the File Manager app, which has now been resolved. In terms of camera improvements; the blurry camera issue when shooting in fullscreen has been resolved, and the camera’s overall stability has been improved. Finally, the update has optimized the Dialer UI display effect.

This software update is a staged rollout that will begin with a small number of users to ensure stability. After ensuring that there are no serious issues, it will be rolling out and available to a larger audience. If you haven’t received the update yet, give it a few days and it will appear.

OnePlus also states that using a VPN to obtain the update may be ineffective because the rollout is not region-specific. Go to Settings > System > System updates to see if you’ve got the update.
