OnePlus 10R, Nord CE 2 Lite Launch Confirmed: Details Here

OnePlus launch event in India is on April 28, 2022. While the company had previously not revealed what was in store, it has now officially confirmed that both the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will be unveiled at the event, as previously speculated. The OnePlus 10R will be the company’s next R-series flagship, following the release of the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. Let us look the upcoming smartphones in details.

OnePlus 10R is likely to have last year’s OnePlus 9R specifications, and the company claims it will provide a fast and smooth experience at a more affordable price point. This announcement comes just one day after the design of the OnePlus 10R was revealed via an Amazon ad on Instagram.

The device will be the first in the country to support 150W SuperVOOC charging, succeeding the Realme GT Neo 3 5G. According to the company, the technology can charge the OnePlus 10R’s battery from 0 per cent to 100 per cent in 17 minutes.

OnePlus 10R expects to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10+ support. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset is confirmed to power it, along with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Out of the box, the phone will boot the OxygenOS custom skin based on Android 12.

OnePlus 10R is to have a 4,500mAh battery with support for 150W fast charging. It will reportedly have stereo speakers, Dolby Audio support, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port are possible connectivity features.

The 10R will have a triple rear camera system. It includes a 50-magepixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide Sony IMX355 sensor, and a 2-megapixel Macro. On the front is a 16-megapixel S5K3P9SP camera for selfies and video chats.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite Specifications (Expected)

The Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone on other side, is to have a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display. It will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset expects to power the device, along with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage.

It will most likely boot the OxygenOS custom skin based on Android 11 out of the box. However, there is some chance that it will come with the Android 12 skin. For security and 5G network support, the Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone may have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging is to be in the phone.

The Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone will be having three cameras on the back. A 64-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel mono lens. The phone will be having a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.

The smartphone will most likely be available in two variants. One will come with a 4,500mAh battery and support for 150W fast charging. While another with a 5,000mAh battery and support for 80W charging.
