OnePlus 10R Might Feature this MediaTek Dimensity SoC!

OnePlus has made official announcements regarding the specifications and features of the OnePlus 10R smartphone that will launch on April 28, 2022. The exclusive MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max will power the phone. According to OnePlus, this “octa-core CPU which can clock speeds up to 2.85Ghz and the latest Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU which is 20 percent faster than its predecessor” to offer its “signature fast and smooth experience, empowering users to ‘Stay in Charge’“

The 10R will be the first device in India to introduce the concept of 150W SuperVooc fast charging in India. With this, users will be able to charge the phone’s battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 17 minutes. Besides the 10R, OnePlus is also launching the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in India. This mid-range offering with a 5G capable Snapdragon 695 SoC ticking at its core will surely leave a mark in the Indian smartphone market. It will support 33W fast charging, and come with a 6-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

As we have already mentioned, the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset powers the OnePlus 10R. The phone features a 120Hz FHD+ E4 AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup. It also comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The handset will be available in two storage variants – one with 8 GB of RAM and the other with 12GB of RAM variant, and with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will have stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support. For security, it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The connectivity features of the phone includes 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. The smartphone is likely to run on Oxygen OS12, based on Android 12.

The MediaTek Dimesnity 8100-Max SoC is built on the TSMC N5 5nm production process. It is a boost up version of the standard MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, meant for better and faster user experience. The chipset features an Octa-core CPU with four large cores based on the Arm Cortex-A78 architecture with up to 2.85GHz frequency and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

The company has made no official statement regarding the pricing of the phone. However, leaks and tips suggest that the phone will be available in three color variants – Sierra Black, Green and Arctic Glow.
