Five of the major smartphone brands have already confirmed the processor for their upcoming phones yesterday. Now, OnePlus has also joined their league and confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC on OnePlus 10 series. They have all announced they will be launching the smartphones featuring the SoC in the next few months. Moreover, this new processor has an ultra-small 4nm fabrication process. It also integrates a 5G modem, and offers many improvements in graphics rendering.
OnePlus has announced that it will be launching its first smartphone with the flagship chipset, probably in 2022. However, the company has not confirmed the model name of the device. But is quite easily assumed that it is going to be powering the OnePlus 10 series. Meanwhile, reports are hinting the series could launch in March or April next year.

OnePlus 10 Series: What We Know So Far
The design of the OnePlus 10 series of smartphones is believed to be similar to that of the OnePlus 9. However, the company is likely to add some minor design tweaks that will help differentiate the two. This suggests that the OnePlus 10 series of handsets will feature a punch-hole display with a greater screen-to-body ratio.

The OnePlus 10 series will have new hardware. The OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro are likely to have Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship Snapdragon 898 chipset; which has a better CPU and GPU performance.
According to the software rumours, these phones will come with Android 12 and a custom OxygenOS 12 skin; which will be based on ColorOS but without the bloatware. The smartphone will also have some OnePlus exclusive features.

Furthermore, the OnePlus is likely to include a larger battery, and every model in the OnePlus 10 series of smartphones may support 65W fast charging, with the fast charger included in the box.
