It looks like Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook is getting a newer look with some features. According to leaks, they will soon launch a Mi Notebook Refresh with 11th Gen Intel processors and a backlit keyboard. Now, a tweet by Raghy Reddy, CBO of Xiaomi India, has offered us a first look at the new laptop. It teased an image confirming that the refresh will offer one feature that remains missing from the 2020 model. The backlit keyboard is that one new awkwardly missing feature in this refreshed model.

Meanwhile, this particular feature is something which almost every laptop carries considering its necessity. It showed clear cost management when Xiaomi offered a decent set of specifications with the previous generation. It also skipped an integrated webcam and a backlit keyboard. At the moment, it isn’t clear if Xiaomi will include webcams with all variants of the Mi Notebook refresh as well.
Xiaomi Could Launch Multiple Laptops Under Mi Notebook Series
This new information comes just as its’ rival Realme announced that it would be launching the Realme Book Slim on August 18. It is about a week away from the date of writing this article. Now, the Realme Book Slim is expecting to feature a 2K 14-inch display with Intel’s Core i5 11th gen chips. It could be coupled with a more than generous 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD based storage. However, this time around, Mi Notebook refresh could make the laptop an offering for proper users and not just workers and students.

Mi Notebook Refresh can get a backlit keyboard with a side profile that looks like Apple’s MacBook offerings. In addition, it will also come in use as a USB Type-C port for charging. We can expect this feature for both Realme and Xiaomi laptops.

On the other hand, leaks suggest that the Mi Notebook 14 Pro could offer a 2K display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, just for Rs 60,000. There might also be a new Ultra version of the laptop. Now, we can expect the launch to happen soon as it has not received confirmation.
