Apple will unveil the Apple iPhone 15 series on September 12, and there is a lot of hype surrounding the launch. The iPhone 15 series will bring plenty of new features, including the switch to a USB-C port. A new survey claims the new USB-C port in iPhone 15 might tempt many Android users to switch.

A survey by SellCell among 1,000+ Android and 1000+ iPhone users reveals that over 44 per cent of Android users might buy an iPhone 15 if Apple includes the USB-C port. Surprisingly, it shows that 35 per cent of Android users would switch to iPhone 15 if it is compatible with chargers of non-Apple devices.

Furthermore, it claims that over 63 per cent of iPhone users might upgrade to iPhone 15 due to the USB-C port. Around 37 per cent of those iPhone users said that using a single cable for charging might motivate them to upgrade. This is because they will be able to charge their iPads, iPhones and MacBooks with just one cable.

Moreover, 66 per cent of iPhone users could upgrade to the latest model, with 33 per cent lured by the USB-C port. On the other hand, 38 per cent of iPhone users and 56 per cent of Android users said that they would stick to their existing devices.

Contrarily,74 per cent of Android users say they are happy with their existing devices, and the mere inclusion of USB-C won’t tempt them to switch. Of the same group, 66 per cent would not purchase the iPhone 15, while 34 per cent have confirmed they will upgrade.

The iPhone 15 series is said to be the most significant iPhone upgrade in years, with new features like USB-C, an Action button and a titanium chassis on the Pro and Pro Max models. The Apple iPhone 15 Pro series will get a larger battery, with the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max featuring a new periscope lens.
