Users of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max have reported horizontal lines appearing on their displays after turning on their devices. According to user reports on Apple’s community forum, a significant number of iPhone users are experiencing green and yellow lines flashing across their screen when the device is off.

According to a few users, Apple has clarified that the problem with flashing lines is not a hardware issue. Instead, Apple is to have stated that it is an iOS bug. Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users claim that the problem began with iOS 16.2, while others claim that it existed in previous iOS 16 versions.

Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users took to Reddit and the Apple community forums to complain about horizontal lines across the screen when waking up from sleep or starting up. According to one Redditor, the colours and numbers of horizontal lines vary, but green and yellow lines are the most common. According to some users, the glitch does not occur every time. Another user claims that the lines vanished after a second.

The problem is to have begun after the iOS 16.2 update, but others claim to have seen flashing lines on the screen in previous iOS 16 builds. Some users claim that they took their higher-end iPhone 14 series models to the Apple store and were told that the problem is not due to a hardware flaw, but rather an iOS bug. Few claim that the problem persisted even after rebooting their smartphones and updating to iOS 16.2.
