Paluzzi shared images showing what the new feature looks like right now in testing. But we can’t say what might this upgrade brings until it announced officially. Uploading a post from the desktop on Instagram appears to be the same as the Instagram mobile app. There will be a button on the top of the Desktop View. A “+” icon inside a rounded box from where you can create posts from your desktop.

What else to expect from Instagram Desktop
Desktop users might be able to drag-and-drop images and video as they do in any other software. They will also have access to an editor with support for cropping and filters. We could also add captions and locations to a photo and, the user can tag people in an image just like the mobile version. In advanced settings, users can disable comments. But all these things are just rumours for now.
Paluzzi also informed that the feature was only being tested privately at the moment. However, the images haven’t made it clear that users can upload Stories, Reels, or IGTV using the desktop site.
