MediaTek announced the launch of two new budget-friendly SoCs – Helio G96 and the Helio G88 in July. Although we are yet to see a phone featuring the Helio G96 SoC. However, Infinix last month teased that it would soon launch the first phone featuring the new Helio G96 chipset. But the company is yet to officially announce the smartphone. Now, ahead of the launch, XDA Developer shares some of the images of the device. According to them, this new Infinix smartphone will likely launch as the Infinix Zero X.
The renders shared by XDA Developers reveal the design of the phone ahead of launch. In the leaked images, it looks like that the phone looks similar to that of the Nexus 4. The Infinix Zero X has a speckled back cover like that of the Nexus 4. Moreover, it features a rectangular-shaped camera module. In addition, the phone also has the Infinix branding at the bottom edge.

Furthermore, it includes three cameras which are accompanied by a LED flash. On the front side, the Infinix Zero X features a punch-hole at the top of the display which will include a selfie camera. The phone has thin bezels and a flat display. Moreover, the power button and volume rocker keys are on the right side. Apart from this, we know nothing of the specifications for the device.
However, the teaser from before, suggests that the device will pack MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset. Infinix Zero X could feature a 120Hz high refresh rate display. In addition, it can pack a large 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support and a stereo speaker setup. On the software front, the phone will likely run Android 11 out of the box.
Now, one should note that this is all just speculation and no concrete information. We will know more as the Infinix Zero X surfaces on certification sites and/or leaks.
